“CloudVision Dashboard application allows you to create customizable dashboards consisting of multiple metrics across various datasets in different views. You can quickly resize and drag widgets on the grid to accommodate various custom layout views. Data was gathered from devices configured for streaming telemetry data to the CloudVision platform.”

 

CloudVision Dashboard Redesign

Problem

After launching the dashboards, the marketing team collected feedback from the users. After analyzing and discussing the feedback we received from the users, we identified the main pain areas of users’ frustration.

  • Dashboard main table redesign - low discoverability of information

  • Dashboards widgets’ toolbox - high visual clutter and low visual feedback

  • Dashboards widgets’ grid - low external consistency across a family of products

  • Dashboards primary & secondary buttons - low consistency & discoverability

Outcomes

  • Phase 1: Discussed & analyzed users’ feedback with the marketing team and designers.

  • Phase 2: Conducted competitive analysis of existing cloud computing dashboards. Evaluated competitors’ ways of solving dashboard-related design issues.

  • Phase 3: Delivered high-fidelity mockups, a functional prototype, usability testing results, and design specifications for engineers.
